I have become quite a fan of your show and it is actually what has piqued my interest about learning electronics.
This is a project that I'm thinking of trying to tackle myself and I think it would be great build for one of your shows. I'm new to electronics so I figure I would learn quite a bit by doing it. I would imagine that it would involve an Arduino card to drive 3 stepper motors ( 1 for the track and the other two for the pan and tilt) and also handle the triggering of the SLRs shutter. Maybe even an LCD screen with a simple menu to program the motion (movement of car on track and the pan and tilt) as well as the number and frequency of the photos.
