A dvd player

I suggest taking a dvd drive out of a ps4 or ps3 and making it external. (so it can be hooked up to a laptop or something) as most laptop don't come with a blu ray drive.

or you just buy an external blue-ray drive for your laptop...done! and by the way: most laptops do come with an optical drive only the smaller and the shitty ones don´t

kisn't the blu ray drive on the PS4 mated to the main board making them not operate after they are removed....or was that the XBOX 360? I am not a console gamer so I am not sure.

if its really broken you should always save it for spareparts to repair your next ps3 if needed.
you could also salvage components and the case for future projects.( i would recomand building a mini-Itx format gaming pc inside the case...;-) )
