Frozted Glass Audio Spectrum

Former Member
Former Member over 10 years ago

Hi.

My name is Kristoffer im 25 and from norway,

im a music producer and DJ, and i LOVE to decorate my music studio with neon / led lights dansing to the music i make!!

i've always been fan of the "Audio Spectrum" in my music program and i got an idea.

here is an example of a audio spectrum that somebody made (googled it)http://i01.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/739949665/24-16-BGR-LED-font-b-Audio-b-font-Digital-Level-Meter-display-font-b-Spectr…

How about using a peace of frozted glass: http://www.tigerglasses.com/UploadFile/201239155950%E6%97%A0%E6%89%8B%E5%8D%B0.jpg

and attaching some led lights on the edge of the glass in different colours like (low freq in red, mid freq in green and high freq blue)

Now i dont know about the electronics but thats where you come in, maybe you have some ideas on how to drive this, make it work / smooth!! image

finaly, problarly 3D some nice edges to go arround the glass to protect the glass itself.

realy hope you can look into this and hopefully make it!! image

btw im a REAL fan of The Ben Heck Show watch it every day (seriously)!! image

If your software can make the range mater full screen then I would consider mounting a second screen behind the glass with a laser cut bezel. If there is a border on screen the simply enlarge the bezel to cover it up.

Perhaps you could use a cheap passive video splitter?
