Hi Ben,
My local archery club uses software from archeryclock.com to manage the shooting at the range. Great system but the guy working is is way at the back of the building and the guy running the range is up by the shooters, so they communicate with a flag system. It would be great if we could build a wireless device that could send commands into the system.
Now the system uses keyboard commands like
"Space" to go to the next timed event,
"P" to pause,
"E" for emergency stop shooting.
In all the remote should have 6 keyboard commands.
I was thinking about using two XBee's and a Teency. The person running the range would have a remote with 6 buttons that would communicate wirelessly to device that the computer saw as a usb keyboard.
It would make the range safer, more organized and competitions would run faster.
What do you think, is this doable?
Jeff.
