I see you're near Madison, so how about a build for bicycles? I use front and rear lights (LED with Li-Ion batteries) and a action cam, and it's a hassle to turn each of them on and off for each trip. I was thinking an Arduino with small OLED display for the handlebars that would: 1) use a reed switch or hall effect sensor and a spoke-mounted magnet to automatically sense when the bike is in motion and start/stop the lights and camera, 2) display a simple odometer/speedometer, 3) use a photocell to choose what modes to set the lights to. The lights and camera have momentary switches for on/off and mode selection. I could send over some extra lights or camera to hack up if needed.
Thanks! Love the show!
