I am looking to turn a pc gamepad into a keyboard. I'm starting with PlayStation style controller. I intend to use the bottom two shoulder buttons as keyboard aria selectors. I want to remove the directional pad and put in buttons mirroring the other side of the controller and in the space between the four buttons put four more buttons. Take out the analog sticks and put, you guest it, buttons. Just one per analog stick. Just above the analog sticks should be vertical column of three buttons. One column of three per side, making six buttons.
The math:
Taking 104 keyboard and dividing it by the 4 states that you can select with the 2 bottom shoulder buttons gives you 26 buttons that you would need.
Driver features:
on screen keyboard display (for learning the buttons) while typing into a document.
I'm looking for full size regular gamepad buttons. Not the super small buttons you need a toothpick to press one.
Thank you.
