Two approaches:
Both approaches will need to use external display instead of the built-in display for the laptop.
1. Try to find a way to connect a MXM3.0 A/B mobile graphics card board into a laptop that only has mini PCIe slot, expresscard slot.
2. Try to find a way to connect a PCI-E x16 desktop graphics card to a laptop that only has mini PCIe slot, expresscard slot.
The first one requires components that are not commonly available on the market, but it requires much less power than the second one. There are existing solutions for the second approach, but most of them requires a giant ATX PSU for powerful graphics cards. This really reduces the mobility of the external GPU unit.
Or maybe there are other solutions I overlooked. I am all ears.
Thanks.
