Shrinking a modern pc motherboard

Hi Ben,

I was thinking of building a small device like i tablet or phone but with the hardware of a computer, so i could take it with me every were and plug-it in a doc on my desk, that would connect it to a moniter, a mouse and a keyboard. But I think it be almost impossible for me to build a motherboard from scratch so i thought that you might have some ideas on how to shrink an existing one.

  • Well a desktop computer would be out since you need a 24 pin connector to pwer it. A laptop  motherboard would be closer in size, but there would be heating issues. Maybe a netbook would work for a tablet, but for phone size you would need a single board computer like a rassberry Pi, Banana Pi Pro, Orange Pi, or a Hummingbird board (the humminboard would be best).
