Build idea "Pi Paid Computer"

My idea for this project is quite simple in theory but will be a challange to build. Pretty much, you insert a coin and the computer turns on, giving you time to play a game or do emails or whatever the user wishes. How it would work is using the raspberry Pi as the main computer and using one of the Pi touchscreens to control it. It can enforce the time limit without having to shut off the whole Pi and possibly damaging it, by, simply turning off the screen, making it so you can't continue using it without another coin.

They build it but you do not get it. Do odd jobs like mowing lawns and such. I did at your age and saved up enough money for a bicycle over 200$. Good luck, Clem

Also I can make my own modifications to help introduce me to engineering a bit better (I'm only 13 going into high school and planning my career.)

Me and my friend always wanted to build some sort of mame computer for arcade games but never had the skill or tools so with this I can mess around with it a bit at first and eventually turn it into the mame machine I always wanted, since the majoraty of the work will be done. The practical use of this is so that I can charge my brothers for quick computer / game acsess

The Pi is an excellent and versatile platform for learning on.  I'm sure if technology had been at this current level when my siblings were your age, they would have tried something like this.  I'd expect them to try to hack into it to get free time though.  I think that ladyada has a coin-op device over at adafruit.com.  I think it's great that you're getting into electronics and engineering at your age.  It'll keep you from having to play catch up later on.

MY only problem is Im not old enough to apply for any jobs, and i have no money. this project would cost about 200$, so that's why I wanted it built on the show, so I could mess around by adding cheaper things onto it
