why rebuild something that exists? Basically you are saying "Hey Ben, here is a corvette. Remove the tires and build your own tires to drive it on."
I would like to see ben take a xbox controller and slit it in half so you can have your hands wider apart or take a wireless controller and split it in half so the two sides are separated with no wires and being able to use it wirelessly.
I think that in a very early episode Ben did a 360 controller split with wires. Unfortunately, wireless would add a large amount of latency to the controls, as well as complexity and cost.
