Hello, I am fairly new to building quadcopters and I was wondering if there is any way to transform an xbox 360 controller into a transmitter capable of operating the copter. Ideally, I would like it to function similar to the Turnigy 6x FHSS 2.4ghz transmitter as far as the same range of communication between the TX and the RX. I would prefer the feel of an xbox controller over that of the turnigy transmitter and I would like to assign specific buttons on the xbox controller to certain commands that inlcude the following:
Right Trigger (RT)= elevate quadcopter (after release maintain elevation height)
Left Trigger (LT)= lower quadcopter
Left Analog Stick (forward or down)= move forward or backward
Right Analog Stick (left or right)= shift quadcopter left or right without changing the direction it faces
RB= yaw (direction turn cw)
LB= ccw
Start button= power on, power off
Select button= mode or channel
Buttons A, B, X, Y= LED turn on or other functions onboard the copter
etc.
I do not know if this is possible given the xbox’s internal components but thought it would be a cool idea to try out and use to fly my quadcopter!
