Any help with my sega mega cd repair??

Hi friends!  This is Paco from Spain.

I got a sega mega cd from a friend of mine and he  told me to fix it for him. It was completely dead and the boards were damaged by capacitor leaks...etc.image

After taking hours to fix all of the capacitors and the voltage regulator I got the first signs of life but I got these blue screens.

So now I don't know if this is due to a corrupt bios or there should be something else with the main board. I can see it tries to boot as it shows the version of the rom.

Any tips or clues will be welcome. Thanks in advance.

You are probably using a region protected CD. Have a look at this few years old discussion on Gamespot.

There were PAL and NTSC versions and you probably have an NTSC console and a PAL game.

I wouldn't expect any other magic in a device from 1991-1993 image

    Thanks for your answer.

I still do not have a disc inside...my megadrive (genesis) is modded with the language and pal/ntsc switches but I don't know if there is something else that is wrong. The green and red leds are not lit ...but if I bridge them to ground they work so the board is powered.
