Eyo jus curious on some possibilities

Used to be career musician, had carpal tunnel surgery and ended up causing focal dystonia in left hand, in result my favorite hobbies are not as enjoyable anymore. Music is out of the question but I still manage to kill time gaming. The problem is left hand is always spread into a spiderman hand pose and every damn game demands use of left shoulder buttons which I can't do anymore. I was just more curious than anything else if one could tinker up a foot switch/pedal similar to what guitarists use to make use of say a left shoulder buttons in general or for the mmo genre similar foot switches which could be held down similar to the properties of the shift key. Which would eliminate the left hand being needed in mmo universe if matched with a game mouse with 12+ buttons *i currently have one of those* I like to tinker with electronics but to be honest I break stuff more than I make stuff hah

Might not be able to find. From Ben's web site he sells Xbox ones but posted this " They are currently available ONLY for the Xbox One. This is due to complexities with hacking the PS4 which are beyond…

This medical condition recently surfaced and was attempting to gather data on possibilities. Going to have to go xbox route. Stumbled upon some foot switches for pc. Thanks for the replies.

Yeah the PS4 and PS3 controllers use this dumb silkscreened circuitboard for the buttons, and many of the buttons are analog (in the PS3 almost all were).  The XBOX ONE controllers are a lot easier, even easier than the 360 controllers because there is several sub boards with easy electrical access to the different buttons.  I think one of the only challenges is the XBOX One controller now uses hall-effects instead of a pot for the triggers.

Also I'm confused a bit about your question, you are talking about 12 button mice and MMO's but then mention consoles?  Are you looking to use a mouse and foot switches instead of the controller for MMO's on a console?  If you are looking for PC, footswitches are relatively easy to make, I use some in counterstrike, and Ben has built some for a show I believe.
