I want to relay the light from single LEDs to a different location using fibre optic cables (about 10 m in length). I don't know what type of fibre optic cables are suitable for this purpose. The LEDs are driven by an Arduino under control from a mac. The LEDs are conventional bright white LEDs 5000 mcd. My question is does anyone have any idea what features I should look for in the fibre optic cables for this purpose? The fibre optic cables should not contain any ferromagnetic parts, as they will be used in a strongly magnetic environment.
