game related idea from the fallout game

i had a idea of something.

i would love to build.

i just haven't had the money or parts to make it on one point i dont have a 3d printer.

my idea is to use the rasberry pi or a small computer like that to act as the guts of the device and use a linux os or something like so that the device is super powerful so you can literly have a computer on your rist even use the gpio's for the buttons and selectors.

if possible rethought the gpio's that arent used to a side pannle so that they can be used for expansions or addon's such as flashlight the same could be don with the hdmi, usbs that arent used, and either net,

for power you could put a booster circuit in there and use several lithium polymer battery's on the under part of the band or even in the case where the raspberry pi is.

i had a different idea also but not sure how to implement it and that is too put a fpga that can be reprogrammed to do various things such as act as a radio or transmitter or what ever you have the skill to do.

that idea came about after seeing some one use a fpga to make a very versatile radio that can analyze the spectrum of radio waves ranging from shortwave too the other frequency's and adjust its tuning too be able to broadcast on that band and listen too it.

oh as far as recharging the thing gow's you cold use a range of power sorces use a power booster that uses two AA battery's to power usb as well as a regulator circuit to regulate down from 12 volts as well so you can use every thing from 3 to 12 volts to charge the thing back up.

i would love to also have a battery monitor on there i would imagine you cold use a gpio to accommodate it just not certain how to do so i am not too familiar with programming though would love to learn.

off topic if you do pick this pleas know i work from 4pm central time till 12:30 maybe 4am it depends on the scheduled.

i usialy dont get up till between 1 and 2pm as of late i have had the weekends off as well.

love the show and keep up the amazing work.
