Many small screens for RPi use ILI9341 chip and usually are sold with their driver board. But what if we could take one of those controllers and rebuild it into a compact driver board capable of drive many different TFT LCD displays? All portable MAME build would very much love to have a larger choice for displays.
In my experience, all those screens have awfully big boards with SD reader slot, touchscreen that use a lot of space and create issues when designing small portable console games (ask anyone that tried to fit an RPi into a Gameboy case....).
I honestly would love to see Ben dive deep into LCD signals, drivers, etc...
