I first wanted to say, I love your show and follow you on youtube.
I was wondering if you can do a show on re purposing old blackberry phones, not sure what I can do with these old phones.
Thank you for your shows!

I am currently working on a project that requires Blackberry phone parts. I am using the 9900 keyboard, which is a popular one on eBay, to augment a Bluetooth gamepad. They are cheap too! I have ordered a few keyboard parts from different models, and I have to say, I am impressed with the membrane sticker technology. The membrane stickers themselves are satisfyingly tactile and intrinsically thin, not to mention the double-sided PCB. I think what's great about old phones and such are the miniature components: since they are strictly electronic, you should be able to apply voltage and repurpose them. (Whereas, in the case of touchscreens, for example, the interfaces are more complicated, even proprietary.) Typically, as with these keyboards, the circuitry is tiny, in terms of leads/ribbon-cables/connectors, so I would appreciate a guide on how to work with those at home as well.
That's my take, from a component dissection standpoint.
