Here is a cool idea. How about making the Dynabook in one or more episodes? Below is the link to the wikipedia articel. I think it fits in the bill of your show.
The idea behind it is that it's more made for kids.
So made you and element14 can make like a kit with a Raspberrypi, a screen, keyboard, battery, powersupply and a case to make this Dynabook. Then the kids can make it! Run some windows IoT on it to control some lights or something.
Then you guys of the ben heck show can assemble it and this way show how to make. This way you can both teach kids how to make something but at the same time also learn how to program them. I think it would be greatly fulling for the kids.
And offcourse if you make a kit i would buy one 
True but this dynabook has something cool about it. The design I like, That and some competion is always healthty
