Hi. I'm Hervé from France (living near Paris), born in 1969. I like old computers from the 80's. Trying to retrieve the joy of using olds models like ZX81, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad 6128, Oric Atmos, MSX, Amiga or Atari STe. They can be upgraded with nowadays addons like new keyboards, new system roms, SD card adapters or new drives (like CF card into the Amiga). I'd like to propose a project for "recreating" the Amstrad 6128. The (rectangle shaped) keyboard and the motherboard should take place in a new case with perhaps a 3"1/2 floppy drive (instead of the Amstrad 3" drive). It coulds have deports of : 2 joystick ports, speaker and its scroll wheel, one switch for the 3" drive (side 1 or 2), 5V supply connector and its power switch, video output DIN connector and headphone connector. It coulds have a new system ROM (using more space on a 3"1/2 floppy for instance). For the video output, we're still using Scart connector (/ Peritel) in France and RGB signal to connect these old computers on TV LCDs. Making a portable model with a folding LCD should be great too. Well thank you for The Ben Heck Show, very nice to see you every new Friday.
