Project Request: Turn a portable into a home system (PSP into a home console)

Hi Ben!

I love the show man. I've been watching for some time and I've never failed to enjoy an episode without learning something new in the process. I find the show educational and really interesting. I see you have a lot of portable projects and people quite often request a GameCube or PS1 portable. What I would love to see is for you to take a portable console and make it a home console. By that, I mean taking a PSP, finding a way to create a new chassis for the UMD drive and add a video output so that you could literally use the PSP as a home console. That would be awesome. I can only wonder how you'd make the control scheme run, how you'd make a controller or adapt the controls. I hope you get a chance to take on this project. If not then just know that I'm sending some love for the show and can't wait to see what else is coming. Like fixing the disc drive in the Nintendo PlayStation. Also I'd like to see you talk about hardware that would be used specifically to aid anti-aliasing.

Thank you so much for reading my post! Sending my warmest regards from England!

    Daniel,

PSP-2000 and PSP-3000 have tv output and with a suitable cable (can be bought off Amazon for cheap) you can connect them to your tv. Alternatively, you could try PS Vita TV and play PSP games on it. It also works.

    Hope that helps,
