I understand the appeal of flattening the system a bit more but you could so something a bit more creative this time, even if going the opposite way and making it larger (though not necessarily thicker).
A few ideas I had:
1) My first thought is to integrate it to a thin flat screen TV and make it like a wall mounted picture frame. The blu-ray drive would be a problem, though. If you can't load games in any other way (physical copies, I mean), you'd have to make a case for it and leave it isolated from the rest of the body. But I guess you could get slim drives to replace that one.
2) Or something like a Surface table (i'm a sucker for big screens, what can i say?)...
3) One I've been bugging Mistah Heckendorn is to make kind of like an arcade cocktail cabinet thing, the pirate themed Skull & X-BoneS, which would be great for a Halloween episode. Karen could help him decorate the thing.
It could have two screens which would lay flat on the table and in order to play you would (or it would) fold up like an inverted V (also known as an A), and the players would play facing each other like a Battleship boardgame. I believe both screens would use the same video signal so that wouldn't be a problem... right?
4) He could make it like a Magic Mirror, but then I guess it would lose some of the brightness and constrast of the screen. Would still be cool to have it on your bedroom, though.
