My son is 16 years old and plays violent games to all hours to the detriment of his studies. I would like to be able to limit the Xbox One game time to a reasonable time each day.
This was apparently possible on the older Xbox 360. A software solution would have an army of kids trying to hack it and would be doomed. Is there hardware solution possible that could be programmable by parents?
Of course Microsoft would not like this for commercial reasons. Maybe an external lockable Arduino device to patch into the power supply of the box would be a possibility. For example a daily limit of two hours during the week could be dialed in.
These Xbox games are now using electronic gambling type psychology enticements that promote a type of addiction for financial gain.
Millions of parents would appreciate a secure hardware solution to this problem and would even be willing to match the cost of the Xbox One to get it.
Yours Sincerely
