raspberry pi

now we have a screen that uses the dsi port on the pi, how about a show where ben shows the viewers the different types of screens available for the pi, detailing the pro`s and con`s of using the screens and showing us how to step up and use the new screen, by building a raspberry pi tablet to rival the apple ipad, he could even put a solar cell on the back and sell it as a green self powered unit.

Although you said not to reply, I feel the need to apologize for the misunderstanding and if it seemed as though I was shooting your idea down, I apologize for that as well as that was not my intention…

as a follow up to my original post i wish to say sorry for using the word rival without explaining properly what my intension was, i understand the pi can`t rival the ipad in computing power and probably never will, but it can rival it in what people can do to change it`s form or function to suit their needs or wants, the pi can rival the ipad in storage ability while being portable, ben could make a pi tablet with 2 micro sd slots and show viewers how to set it up, ben can give people idea`s and inspire them to experiment with the pi in a way that the ipad would not be able to match due to the market that it is designed to meet, i will not bother posting any more ideas to this forum, i have enough people tearing me down all the time, i don`t need people having a go at me because of a misunderstanding, please don`t waste your time with replying to this or asking me any questions, there will be no further posts from me.

Although you said not to reply, I feel the need to apologize for the misunderstanding and if it seemed as though I was shooting your idea down, I apologize for that as well as that was not my intention. As stated, I think it is a good idea and would make a nice project. I was simply trying to share a little more information on the topic, however due to the misunderstanding it came out a little different than how it was meant to sound.

This community and its members are all for people sharing ideas and collaborating, you shouldn't take a simple misunderstanding so negatively. I apologize if there are a lot of people out there that like to shoot down our ideas, unfortunately there are just some people out there that are like that. I should note however that although those kinds of people can reflect badly at times to the engineering community, there are plenty of us here that are glad to help and share information. In the engineering field, no idea no matter how small or large, there are no truly stupid idea. Ideas are a part of the fundamentals to prototyping and engineering. There are plenty of engineers including famous ones like Tesla for example, that have had ideas shot down and criticized, however you just have to look past it and build upon your ideas no matter the negative opinions. I hope you will give this community a second chance as there are a lot of really great people and loads of useful information here.
