Cheapest 3D Printer

Hi image

I have discover your youtube channel 2 week ago. I love what you do !
I have see that you really love 3D printing in many of your episode.
I have found this DIY 3D printer kit ($200):

Q3 3D Printers - Quality | Reliability | Speed | Always Open Source

I have also see many people doing some 3D parts upgrade for this printer over the internet.

Theres my idea:

Does it's possible to do your own upgrade with this printer kit?

The cheapest "better" 3D printer as possible.

Thank you image

P.S. Sorry for my english, i'm french...

I wanted to update this reply with some new information:

My SECOND Monoprice Maker Select V2 has also failed after 29 days of ownership.  It started with a burning plastic smell in the control head and ended with a heating bed that will not heat.  Anyway, I was lucky that I could still return it due to Jet.coms return policy.  To be fair, I also contacted Monoprice with the entire story but was not happy with their reply - basically, we are sorry and you should return it to Jet.com.  At this point I can NOT recommend the Maker Select V2 to anyone.  Not sure what I will be purchasing but it won't be another Maker Select.

I can't comment on the Q3 3D printer, however, I can recommend the monoprice maker select v2.  I recently purchased one, on sale, through Jet.com and with free shipping I got it at the price only slightly higher than the kit you mention ($237).  However, a word of warning - I have heard and experienced some quality issues with the monoprice printers.  In fact, I had to return my first one due to a faulty power supply.  I returned the item with free return shipping (no additional $$$ loss) and after I got my refund, I ordered another.  So far, that printer has been working fine. General speaking, you get what you pay for with 3D printers.

You might want to checkout the Monoprice Select Mini which is under your Q3 price.  It is available on Amazon.  However, please do your research, I don't know anything about the mini - good or bad.

With the holidays coming up, checkout the subreddit on 3Dprinting for reviews, and a thread listing current sales... https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/
