Simon game musical Instrument

Is it possible to modify the classic Simon game into a musical instrument? I have read that the game's sounds were inspired by a bugle, and has a total of 5 notes; one for each button and one that sounds when you make a mistake. I think it would need an added button to access that fifth note, and I would like to add a headphone jack as an audio out, so that you could record the audio on a PC for mixing, etc. I am very curious if you could get extra sounds or increased functionality out of it. Thank you.

  • I am looking into a project using the modern Simon game that came out about 5 years ago or more, I'm not really sure how long. This version of Simon has a little bit more to it because it's  really easy to tap the bars. the bars have different functions  than the original. I'm sad to see that nobody answered your post. That sounds pretty cool as well.

    For me, I want the raw data from the Simon itself to be fed into my Raspberry Pi to be used as a synthesizer/instrument kind of thing to be used within raspbian or something. I want it to be an instrument, Something to add sound effects. I was hoping some other Brainiac out there had a project similar to what I had in mind. the closest I found was yours.
