After coming across a Steel Battalion Controller in a local video game store, I couldn't help but think how it would make a brilliant controller for a battle bot. Such as the ones you built in a previous episode. Unfortunately, at the time I saw it I couldn't afford it 
although it has been on my mind ever since.
Knowing how much you enjoy video games I thought this would be right up your alley. I was thinking of something using possible a raspberry pi zero, so it could fit inside the controller and only require a battery pack installed. Maye even using the 7" raspi touchscreen and a camera on the bot for a First person view. Having some experience with battlebots (of sorts) having competed in the Rampaging Chariots Competition in College, which is run by the Typhoon Team from Robot Wars series. I was thinking of using the Eject button on the controller as a battery disconnect.
It is a project I would still like to tackle myself, but it would be a long term project for myself due to university studies and work. I would love to see how it can be utilised for other uses and knowing how much you love controller mods, I would think this is something which you would love to work on.
