Something I've always thought would be cool is a solar-powered setup for single board computers. Something like an Arduino could run for a while off of batteries, but what about having something like a Raspberry Pi running 24/7 with only a solar panel and battery as a power source? Anywho, I love the show! Keep up the great work!
I'm actually working on this right now. Still working on the 24x7 part, but I have all the components and just need more time testing and tweaking. I have a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B with a Element 14: 4DPi-24-HAT (Raspberry Pi 2.4in QVGA Touchscreen LCD Hat Module) running on off a 7800 mAh battery pack with 2.5 amps & 5 volts output. My portable solar panel is still being tested out on sunny days 
to confirm if size will keep up with charging rate requirements. You do need a large enough battery with a charge pass-through feature to allow charging of the cells and USB power output at the same time.
My Pi 2 has much lower power requirements, but does not have WLAN to be fully wireless & mobile (and is currently used for my Cacit server). It will be running from a buck converter off 12v battery setup once my larger PV panels are setup. That will be running headless 24x7 gathering charge controller stats.
