PSP Raspberry Pi Zero W portable gaming

I was thinking that it would be a great idea to find a PSP 1000, 1001, or 3000, use a Raspberry Pi Zero W loaded with gaming emulator and create a portable gaming system. You could reuse the PSP shell, screen, power supply, and buttons.

I've been trying for this same idea for a while now but not a lot of good information is available. The biggest hold up I'm facing is the screen to Raspberry pi zero interface, do I need to get a fpga board, if so where do I fine one that fits a psp 1001? The rest of the system is easy enough to figure out.
