I recently bought this kit kit and I suspect that by installing a header to the board it might be capable of interesting behavior modifications. This is unfortunately beyond the scope of my tired old mind, but thought it might make an interesting episode for your show. Even if the firmware could be changed to set it to 12 hour and only display the time and date it would be of benefit.
