Why has ben never used Mbeds?

I think that you should do an episode about Mbed (or using Mbed devices), and it is a great platform for microcontrollers, and would benefit a lot of people who need more power than an arduino, but can't figure out the Mbed. also, they are cheaper than arduinos (see https://goo.gl/ssJvUM) and are 32 bit, so comparable to the PIC32 that you have used in previous episodes.

That's interesting, I had never heard of those before. I would be interested to hear more about them. Can you think of an interesting build idea that would utilize one of these devices?

    Well,

I had the idea to use Mbed in an autonomous "Tank" robot, that could be controlled via the IoT with a Smartphone/PC/Iphone, but was "Smart" enaugh to function on it's own, without a human.

It wouldn't solve a "Problem" as such, but would be a fun project to do on the show (And also sorta cool image).

PS. Is that a legend of zelda profile picture?

    Hey there,

I brought the idea up to Ben. He's not very familiar with Mbed and it looks like it would be fairly software heavy. We try to stick to projects that are more hardware based because of the time constraints of our film schedule. If you can think of a project that is a bit simpler than an autonomous robot and is a little more hardware-focused, we'd be happy to consider it.

    Keep the ideas coming!

    ~Karen

PS. Yes. May the triforce be with you.

Well, you could do it (Minus autonomous) within about 1-2 episodes methinks.

    Oh well, Time to brainstorm!
