Sega Neptune Build

Angry Video Game Nerd did videos about adding the Sega CD and 32X to the Sega Genesis and what a pain it is, with all the extra cables and wall warts. And there are a bunch of videos about how to mod your Genesis to support NTSC and PAL, ad better picture and sound outputs, and even overclock the system. All this would have been in the aborted Sega Neptune.

 

I'd like to see you build a best-of-breed Neptune-like out of all the above Genesis hacks and add-ons. Bonus if it can also play SMS games!

    I would like to see his take as well, though I like that the Fusion fits in a Saturn case, so no need to make your own case if you don't have the equipment to do so. Master System compatibility could be what sets Ben's apart from the Fusion. That and his interesting other takes and ideas.

     

    Or I would like to see him make a Sega Neptune that is just the Genesis and 32X, that would use the same case as the Neptune based on available images of it, that would slot into a Sega CD. That would give you an original case and something unique.
