Ben and Alyson work together to create a DIY bike light and turn signal. Alyson crafts a fabric patch that attaches to a backpack and Ben writes a program, installs LEDs, and wires up the components.

    I would prefer the shoulder switches to be hall effect ICs with a Rare Earth Neodymium Magnet or two on the chin strap of the bike rider's helmet.

     

    I think it best that an audible or visial feedback is provided to the user so that the current mode of operation of the signaling device is known at all times while in use.
