When your project gets past the prototype stage, it's best to get a PCB printed to design and print it. On this episode, Ben shows you how to use EAGLE software to export the industry-standard files you need.

Now that Eagle has migrated to the Cloud, consideration should be given to security. No Cloud system should be trusted with development or classified projects.

Another consideration is copyright and ongoing compatibility and whether the existing Version (8?) will remain available after the Version is superseded.

Needing an InterNet connection also places the workstation at risk. My company does work for non-aligned military applications and the 'air gap' between the nearest InterNet access point and the development area is around 470 metres.

The basics were covered really well, but some later things Ben speeds over. Helped to get me started customizing my own PCBs.

isn't the line tool only supposed to be used for graphical drawing? to connect components, the net-tool is more suitable.

Hey Ben - great episode on Eagle, I've used ExpressPCB and it's nice to see the differences! Looking forward to seeing your view of the NY makerfaire.
