Ben finishes the automatic doggie door he started in the previous episode. He has the key fob and the shock collar modified to send a signal to activate a solenoid and has combined them into a single unit for a dog collar. Now he has to create the part of the device that attaches to the door. He mounts the key fob receiver, a 555, and more to a PCB to finalize the electrical aspect of the project. Felix builds a mock-up of a dog door for the purpose of demonstrating the device. Ben mounts the solenoid and receiver to the dog door to get it ready to test with a real dog. The test dog turns out to be a scardey-cat forcing Ben to improvise. |
