Felix built a point and shoot camera using spare parts laying around the shop and suggests that Ben shrink it down and put it into a cool enclosure. Ben shares tips and tricks as he works to remove anything unnecessary from the Pi, making it as small as possible. Felix shows how he programmed the Pi to work as a camera in the Tech Time Out. Ben hand wires all the components together until he’s created a super slim Pi point and shoot camera. After he designs and 3D prints a case, it’s time for some selfies!

This is a very cool build! I like how slim you made it. When I built my Pi Portable, I made a similar setup for the camera button. Mine is in a small battery casing and attaches to the GPIO port on the back of my unit. Instantly turns my PiP into a very nice camera! I added a magnetic ring around the camera so I can switch out different lenses! image

Fun project.  Looked like the crew had fun taking pictures with it.  Great Job.

was wondering about the placement of C6, the 220 microF cap behind the power connector, after depopulating the Pi. At one point it was tacked on the back of the board, then gone.

Does the charging circuit make it unnecessary?

    Thanks,
