In this episode of the Ben Heck Show we're building a customized game controller to help someone play Madden 2011, and also starting up the build on an Xbox 360 laptop.

Okay looks like there webhost dynect.net is having DNS Server issues. If you open a dos windows (or command line for you Linux geeks) and tracert the servers IP address which is: [74.201.81.148] then it will cache the DNS in your system and let the video load. It looks like they have 4 DNS servers:

NS1.P03.DYNECT.NET - Not Responding to Pings
          NS2.P03.DYNECT.NET - Working
NS3.P03.DYNECT.NET - Not Responding to Pings
          NS4.P03.DYNECT.NET - Working

I have now tried viewing the video in both Google Chrome 6 and Firefox 3.6.1 both with NEWEST FLASH player installed. And both logged in and logged out. The flash container is loading (although invisible) but it never loads the video feed, controls or anything.

    Hi Winston.

Did John's suggestion work? It looks like our other members can view + play the video, so hopefully using another browser sorted this out.

    Cheers,
    Sagar

    Winston,

Try using Firefox or Google Chrome. You must have flash player installed and give it a few seconds to load. I can see the video fine.

    Cheers,

    -Lulz

    p.s.

An idea I'd like to see done is having a laptop dock into a desktop and having the laptop's monitor become a second monitor for the desktop. I'd also like the hard-drive inside the laptop show up on the desktop (as in be labeled as a letter drive). If you could have it retain other components (cpu, ram, gpu) from the laptop to "add" power to the desktop that would be neat also. I'd prefer you did this with Windows 7, or Ubuntu. You probably can't do it though, Ben. Would be neat to game on the go, then dock your laptop into your desktop, have your saves readily available and not waste the beautiful monitor on your laptop. I have an Alienware m15x, but I don't know if it is possible.

    Hi Sagar,

Nope, I still can't see it. I even logged in from a different machine.

Is there some special software I should be using?

Also, how do you clear the cache (IE8).

    Thanks,

    W

    Winston--

I'm going to crash for a few hrs, but please do let me know if you still have problems viewing the video. I'll check this thread again tomorrow morning (CST).

    Cheers,
    Sagar

    Hi Winston.

Hmmm... it's loading for me. Can you try re-starting your browser + make sure it's not pulling from the cache? I can see the video loading up above.

Lmk if this works for you.

    Guys--

Sorry for the hiccup. Looks like our partner, Revision3, was down for a bit tonight. We'll find out what happened, but in the meantime, you can now watch the first episode again! image

Thanks for letting us know about this problem, and for being part of element14!

    Cheers,
    Sagar
