Convert a vga monitor or tv

I am looking to build a mame cab and have an old electra home g07 and dont want to spend the money to by a vga adapter I was wondering if there was anything you could do

    using mame, you would need a computer/laptop with at least 1ghz. if your  going to use a old gaming machine, chances are the screen is no good for mame. most of those old screens won't run pass 300 lines, and vga output is pretty much just rgb output, which you could wire up to any tv/monitor but you would need the hz refresh rate to be up there.

    I have 2 pac man cabs and one is in pretty rough shape so I am thinking about making it a mame cab but wanted to use the orignal crt I have always liked the look of the old arcade crts over modern ones

    Yea, I think any original PCB's stuff like that you need a converter, Don't think there's another solution, Unless you want to do a bunch of uneeded prolonged stuff that i know of anyways.

    Yah the only other thing I have ever seen is finding a comp that will do straight rgb out but il just spend the money image

    You may have to adjust the sync rate.
