Most people will never get a chance to see, let alone play, Ben's Bill Paxton Pinball. I have been working on re-creating Bill Paxton Pinball via the Visual Pinball simulator. Yes, it's not the same as playing a real machine, but once complete I hope to capture everything that Ben's creation has to offer. When I first started this project Ben was kind enough to have sent me a lot of his original art files that he used on BPP. Unfortunately there are still many images and specifics that I've been unable to get. I'm guessing since the recordings of the new show started Ben has been harded to contact and I haven't been able to get much further on this project.
If anyone here happens to have more images that are not on Ben's website please let me know.
The below shot is just the first work in progress that shot that I have done. This is still really early in the building stages. In the shot below I just added the braces for the ramps, I still need to add the posts that hold the braces up and there are many many many more details that still need to be completed. I'm going to have to scan through the source code and find how scoring works as well as re-creating the custom DMD.
I'm hoping that I can have a very accurate re-creation for everyone to play sometime...
BTW - Ben if you happen to read this.... I really could use all of the artwork for the sides of the ramps, Back Wall, toys and all of the other smaller details such as the Launch Torpedo sign, wheel of fate, sun, etc. The better the quality and more pictures can be provided the better this re-creation will come out.
