Dear Ben,
My mother has asked for a solution to her mobile computing needs. She has a small laptop that is good for air travel. I hooked her up with a docking station in her home office that gives her three screens for spreadsheet work and now she is spoiled. She would like to be able to move around the house and work in other locations, but still have the multi monitor screen space. Inspired by your ruggedized PS3 build, I propose a mobile docking station built into an aluminum brief case such as this:

On opening the brief case, the bottom half would hold a power strip, USB hub, USB to VGA adapters, power supplies etc. On top of the bottom half would be a flat surface to set the laptop. In the top half of the brief case would be a pair of small LCD screens that hinge out at the edges. With the laptop screen in the middle, the set up would provide three screens total and still be portable. She would simply plug the brief case into an outlet, and plug a USB cable into her laptop and be working out on the screened in porch, or kitchen table, etc. Something like this:
The laptop would not fit in the case when closed, but would provide a place for the laptop to sit while working. This would be a lot easier in a giant Pelican Case, but then she would be less likely to lug it around. Thanks for your consideration, and keep up the good work.
