Mega DS

I know this may sound a bit odd, but everyone is obsessed with systems getting smaller and more portable. While i enjoy that too,  what if some people wanted a LARGER gameboy? i dont meant like the dsi XL, i mean like a standard sized touchscreen laptop size. instead of having a keyboard, have a touchscreen on the bottom and a standard screen up top. This would also benifit my fellow fat fingered gamers that try to poke a tine area on there DS's screen and end up hitting almost a quarter of the screen. Some people may complain that that might make the game look ugly/blocky but some retro gamers love that look =] Anyway you can bring this idea to life?

PS i attached an image i found on google. itssorta what i had in mind, but have the Laptop havea touchscreen and actually BE the ds, not just be a screen enlarger.

that concept would be simple for the ds. the more challenging part would be adding the buttons( d-up, d-down d-left, d-right, rbutton, lbutton, a, b, x, y, start, select, volume, and on/off) to the top and bottom screens. the buttons of course have to be on the bottom but the top screen is the reaction screen and in some games the bottom screen has a reaction. then there are the speakers. you might want to just make a casing or something like that. you have to have a mic because most games for the ds require a mic... i had a ds got ispsde off at it because it was yga and stupid. it broke. lol. but anyways the games wont look as good as they would on a smaller screen due to pixal art instead of polygram i know this because i used a emulator for the pokemon games on my friends laptop. you also got to have the slot in for the game cards since they dont use disc like the psp. but you can take off the take slot and put it on the ds triple xl (as i would call it). its a good project but i dont think it would be worth while because the games are crap except for the pokemon games (which are the only good games for the ds/gameboy. well anyways hoped this helped with your idea a little bit.

Lol Finally a reply XD Anyways, with the speakers, it may be possibe to simply use modified laptop speakers. also, like the ds, wire the microphone from the actual ds into the top of the screen, or possibly even a stronger mic. i know that they will be very pixel-ly, i mentioned that in my first message XD i actually kinda like it that way with my handheld games xD for the game slots you can simply put a cover over the empty disk drive and mount the reader there. It would also be nice if there was a direct port so we could stream games straight to it from a usb, although thats unlikely going to be added lol. I have also considered maybe "double stuffing" it. by that i9 mean having a standard ds in it, and a switch to flip to boot up a dsi, since the dsi will have its own games, but its not backwards compatible. the original ds is though.

ya the double stuffing could work but its not really needed. really i cant say anything myself because all my ideas are just ideas. i can never do anything about them. lol no job. but anyways i just now thought of a way you can do this. kinda. you can have your two screens like normal or you can get a normal laptop go ape htsi on it and take out its keyboard harddrive yadiyadiyada etc. and then replace with the standard ds hardware and touch screen keep the speakers and on/off switch. i was thinking that you could put the all the buttons on the left or right side. left for a right hand people and right for left hand people. you could use the sd memory card slot for the ds card slot if you get one with that feature. so far thats what i came up with in my mind. no images or plans i can give, sorry.
