Dear Ben,
I do a portable podcast for various churches and I wanted to know if you could devise two methods that could solve common problems.
Problem one is pretty basic, my tripod only goes up to about someones shoulders, yet I would like to get something that still can do all the functions of a basic tripod yet be tall enough to be above peoples heads while standing up in front of it. Also if possible a method of controlling the zoom in and out would be great. The camera I am using at the moment is a cannon ZR90 but that hopefully will be upgraded soon to a HD camera so not sure if you can help in that area.
Problem two is power, I use extension cords for the most part since the laptop and camera batterys do have limits. One of the key elements I would like to do is have a portable power unit with something like a car battery, a voltage inverter, and a few methods for recharging like wall power and maybe even a solar charging option. This I know is probably going to be somewhat big and maybe heavy so the more portable the better and maybe wheels are an option but it would enable me to go to areas that would otherwise be technologically deprived and use it for a positive meaning. This would also be useful for those wanting a green power source for when the lights go out or living off the grid.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Sincerely,
Clifford
