I am curently working on a remote camera rig, that will alow me to film at a distance.
I have an older Sony Handycam mounted on the custom rig, with video being output to an external screen via RCA cables.
The only problem is that I can not control the camera from where I have it mounted.
The Remote Controller uses infared inorder to control the camera, and its range is very small.
Challenge
Could you show how to tear down a Camcorder remote control.
How to replace the small flat buttons with larger ones onto a milled control panel.
and
How to extend the infared diode emitter onto a long wire allowing me to place it right infront of the camera IR Reciever.
I would really apreciate it, and it would help anyone having trouble getting that unique shot with their own remote camera rigs.
