Challenge --- Multiple monitor no or thin bezel arrangement

Seeing Ben's wizardary with monitors... it occured to me that Ben has the Tools to make this a reality.  The bezels around a single monitor make multiple monitor gaming difficult / distracting.  Removing each panel and mounting them as to minimize the gap between panels would be awesome to see (and probably a first, for anybody).  Could demonstrate a budget 3 panel mockup or could get crazy with a 6 panel mockup.  Maybe a price compare / contrast results to a really nice 30 inch panel.  Show us "PC Gamer's" some attention.

Based upon work I've done with laptop LCDs, this idea is totally feasable.  With laptops, they're simply held into a thin metal frame inside the bezels.  Getting multiple screens together wouldn't be hard, though I think having some flexibility by being able to angle the monitors at will would make it a bit more useful, though also a bit more challenging.  If you did that, the hinge points would have to be on the front, so that the monitor stay closer together.

Like this?  I've seen a dual-monitor setup in a single device with a very very thin middle bezel before, but I can't seem to find it now.

Seems possible, but relatively large displays still usually have some sort of thin metal bezel around the edge of the panel for more structural support.

What about doing this with old CRT's? I have a pile of 20" CRT's and all kinds of room to build a video wall of gaming goodness.... (i'm thinking 10, 20, 30+ monitors)

Any suggestions on the best cards, mobo's, software?
