Hi. The other day I was looking to purchase a small, inexpensive amplifier to use with a vintage turntable and speakers. I managed to find a Class-T Amplifier with an RCA input to suit my purpose, but I couldn't find one with an inbuilt pre-amp, so I had to purchase one as a separate unit to complete the setup. It would be great if you could prove the concept of manufacturing a Class-T style amplifier with an inbuilt Phono pre-amp (maybe with 1 or 2 regular rca inputs as well) so that you could use a vintage turntable with speakers (and maybe a vintage cassette player as well) powered and controlled by a single unit
Amplifiers with Phono inputs were probably very easy to come by a couple of decades ago and quite inexpensive, but the numbers are thinning out and technology has proven that you don't require an amplifier the size of a desk drawer anymore to enable you to use a turntable with speakers. I suppose you could buy a new turntable off the shelf that doesn't require a pre-amp, but what fun would that be! Let's give people a reason to give vintage turntables a second chance at life
For the record (excuse the pun), I'm 26 years old and have just started accumulating a small collection of vinyls, and I think it's something people of all ages should experience at least once
