Viewer Challange - Commodore Amiga Laptop

After I started to watch Ben's show where he makes laptops out of things, I got this idea for a Amiga Laptop. I have a Amiga 600 (and few 500 ones, but the keyboard is wider though) lying around waiting for me to buy the HxC Floppy Drive Emulator to get past the fact that all the internal disk drives have died (and 4 external ones...) and don't read disks anymore. So I was thinking this would be the battle plan instead of just replacing the disk drive with an SD one:

1) Gut one A600

2) Replace the 22W powersource with a small one that will fit inside a laptop case

3) Replace the chunky display with a LCD

4) Gut one HxC Floppy Drive Emulator (to move the SD slot to the side of the case)

5) Add CF-card for harddrive (maybe even with a slot on the side of the case for that)

5) Build a case that will house these

The case can stay white or be that cream colored "commodore white". Definitely needs to have the blue and red "C=" commodore logo on the back.

I might imagine people's faces when they see someone in a huge lanparty with a amiga laptop. And then dropping their jaws when they notice that its not just a laptop running WinUAE.

Instead of trying to find a vintage Amiga to reinvent as a laptop, Ben could have a go at a Commodore C64x Barebones from CommodoreUSA.  The case is a pretty close copy of the old original "breadbox" Commodore 64.  CommodoreUSA also sells Ultimate ($999) and Extreme ($1499) preconfigured versions of the C64x.  Can Ben turn a C64x Barebones into a nettop with comparable specs to the preconfigured versions, but at a lower total price -- and avoiding some of the issues that C64x Ultimate purchasers have reported?
