Viewer Challenge - Ultimate Game System Compilation

I thought Ben built something similar to this once before, but I would like to see Ben revisit building an ultimate game system compilation since he has more equipment in house now. There  could be two different versions maybe one with the older game systems (Atari 2600, NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis) on it and a newer one that had say the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii on it. It would be cool to have either one built but maybe cooler to see what he would do with the newer game systems all together.

What's wrong with just all the consoles on top of them?

Well with the newer game systems not much really except for heat. Stacking the systems on top of each other might block some of the fans. The newer game systems load discs in the front. Stacking the older game systems is a little different. There are same game systems that you can load the cartridges in the front or on top which would not be easy to put different games into the different game systems. The varying shapes of the older game systems also would not make them stack well.

do you mean to make like a all in one console? that would be pretty cool actually! if you could connect all the systems to one drive that would be sweet.

Yes an all in one console. It would be like one box with all of the cables coming out ot it or all of the controllers connecting to it. I dont think you could have them all connect to the same drive whether that be cd rom, dvd rom, bluray, or hard drive, but having the different slots for each like stacking them on top of each other but making them into one box that can be carried anywhere and hooked up quickly. Maybe even include a handle on the top of the game system box. Thinking something similar to the game cube except with room for more game systems.

Bacteria has already made an epic unit like this. It is called project unity and it took 3 years and $700 to complete. Here is a link.http://www.engadget.com/2013/04/12/bacteria-completes-epic-unity-project-crams-15-consoles-in-one/
