Challenge and Help: Lagless or very low lag 32in HDTV

Hello Ben Heck I have admired your work and i am vey impressed with the things you have made over the past time and i have followed your videos and i have been wanting to ask you if you are able to help us with our HDTV problems, Me and my friends and family have been expierience a lag problem and the game mode on the HDTV Dose not help it at all, we do not have much money and this HDTV was the first ever HDTV i have gotten but when i try to play games on my ps3 such as Mortal Kombat, Red Dead Redemption, Call Of Duty: Black Ops and ratchet and clank there is a big lag on the Toshiba 32in LCD HDTV and i have been searching the internet for months trying to find help to resole or fix the problem but i am begining to lose hope in any results and when i play Black Ops online it takes a long response time and to me it feels as though its a unfair Advantage So If you are able to help me it would be a big help and a great pleaseure Thank You.

    This isn't really a type of project ben would do.  It sounds more like a problem you're having with your set up not problem that a lot of people expeince and wish there was a solution to (like most of ben's projects).  He can't really solve your problems here without doing something extreme like coming to your house and fixing your TV.  Not really what he's looking to do...

     

    Do you only notice the problem on that TV?  If it's a common problem with that specific TV I'd be suprised that you couldn't atleast find someone else on the internet that has the same problem with that model.  If you can't, it's probably good news, because it might mean there's just a problem with your specific set up.

     

    My only recommendations are to try using a different type of video cable.  i.e. If you're using a HDMI cable try a standard version RCA component cable or something.  Or perhaps vice versa.  If you can't find help anywhere else your best bet is to just try out different things and see if you can solve the problem yourself.

    I don't have a HDTV, so I really can't suggest anything specific.  But I SERIOUSLY DOUBT this is a common issue with most televisions.  They designed these new systems to utilize the resolution of HDTVs it would be riciulous if most HDTV's had significant lag issues with video games.

     

    I would bet money that you your system can be set up properly to relieve your lag problems.  Have you even read the tv manual?  Or tried the different inputs I suggested?  It sounds ridiculous to go out and buy a new TV unless you've won the lottery since last time you posted.

     

    BTW, the lag issues online may not be due to your TV they could easily be your internet connection.
