My challenge is to build a circuit board clamping, solder paste dispensing, component placing, hot air reflowing, circuit board moving dream machine. Here's the steps I'd love to see:
Robot arm retrieves a blank circuit board, positions it in place.
The pick and place machine clamps the circuit board.
PNP grabs a syringe of solder paste, dispenses paste to solder pads.
PNP "drops" syringe, starts picking up components & placing them on circuit board.
PNP grabs hot air reflow pen, moves around the board to appropriate places, pausing at each long enough to melt solder
Robot arm clamps on to circuit board, PNP releases clamp
Robot arm moves(/drops?) board to completed bin.
(Robot arm could be something like Toby Baumgartner's Trobot 4.0)
I know, I know - yes, I want fries with that. Or, better yet, potato pancakes! (Being from MKE) Hey, it's my dream... Actually, my dream is to have such a setup in order to build a new Christmas decoration to benefit a non-profit organization helping people turn their lives around.
