Build a handheld pinball machine, not simulated or lcd based (aka android phone in a box), but an actual mechanical pinball including lights and sounds.

You expect an handheld pinball without lcd? Any idea of dimensions? It's like using a smartphone without a screenimage

I think this is possible but would be a very rudimentary Pinball-game

just two mechanical flippers and a ball bouncing on targets. Add a counter (CD4017) some lights and you can compete with friends  in "who clears all targets first".

If you think it can be done, then do this and take it into consideration:

send the layout of the pinball machine. Include how you're going to take switches. And also it will be very thick. Servo's can be used instead of solenoids. A manual 'fill in ball and manual spring shoot' can be used.

Handheld pinball would suck. You could just tilt the table and roll the ball around manually. Unfortunately LCD is the only way you could do this and make it decent to play.

thats more like a tabletop pinball than handeheld-pinball.

Someone mentioned that you could tilt the game to cheat....what if you don´t ,ake a "pin"ball but more of a "tilt"ball

controll the game only via tilting the game in any direction to clear targets...different game than pinball but could be much fun.

It'a the size of a big tablet. A usful model for a handheld. Just imagine it half that size.

Pinball isn't pinball without flippers and gravity. You can't literally play pinball hand held because you can't hold it still, so the ball won't roll as it should.

It doesn't look much fun to me.

I suppose a tilting maze game with targets and electric bumpers would be a bit different.

I would recommend to build one for tabletop and heavy so that no one can tilt and roll the ball. make one at-least 75cm.
