Does anybody here think that Ben should build a PS2 portable?

Why not. The same concept goes into the construction. Except with a PS2, a modchip could be used with no issue.

How about a NeoGeo Arcade portable. Uses the different arcade cartridges?

I figure, all consoles and machines will go this route.

Same concept as al his other portables he has said before that they get boring so I think he probablly looking to do other projects besides portables as the take more time on the computer measuring stuff than actually modding.

This is why I put up my concept I'm working on of a PS2 based Hubdrive that will take the original memory card and controller ports from the original version PS2 (mine burnt out) and make them readable on a PC.  I know there are USB based products for this already but I'm modyfing the design I've started to plug into a motherboard port that is normally reserved for USB port extensions.  Just posted the beginnings of the board designs that I'll be printing for this.  If you have thoughts on it feel free to take a crack at it.

I think the smallest PS2 you can get is still the slim Ben, last I checked its the approximate size of the Sega CD-X you modded just a third of the thickness.  Thats if my estimations are correct.  Not to mention the fact I think those are pretty much everywhere now and are probably the most common PS2 at this point.  I don't know how this will effect any build like that but you would preferrably want to get one of them that was released between 2006 and 2008 due to the fact that before that there was an issue with overheating power transformers and that after that Sony updated the BIOS in such a way that makes the system a bit harder to modify.  However if you want some tips on figuring out rigging an LCD and other aspects to it like potential wi-fi connections or HDMI set ups I would see if you couldn't find some sort of schematics for the BRAVIA KDL22PX300 model TV that Sony put out in 2010 that had a PS2 practically built into it.

Hmmm..... if memory serves isn't that the one of model of HD televisions they promoted with the slim versions of the PS3?  As in basically giving you semi 100% backwards compatibility through a very awkward format?  Sorry, I digress.
